SAS
About time we got a thread going for this. Looks like our chances of achieving our goals (pun intended) this season will solely be on their shoulders, attacking wise obviously. Definitely the best partnership in the league (yes >>> RVP/Rooney)
I think if these two and little Phil start the next 30 league games together, we will comfortably be in the race to finish in the top 4 irregardless of other teams results. Defense have improved leaps and bounds since last season, and United have shown that you don't really need a WC midfield to do well in this league as long as you can score goals and defend your leads (and it's not like our midfield is shite by any means).
Is it too much to ask to see this partnership injury free for 1 whole season?

It sure is a hugely exciting trio as long as we get the ball to them.

Re: SAS
RvP and Rooney are better when all players are in form. Moyes has no clue though, luckily for the rest of the league.
With that said, let Suarez and Sturridge continue what they're doing because it's fun to watch.

Re: SAS
We have Skrtel and Sakho in defence...
And Sturridge and Suarez forward. (With Sturridge injured, Suarez and Sterling? he's stepped up, knew lil Raheem had it in him)
Liverpool having SAS in attack and defence.
I guess SAS could also mean Skrtel, Agger, Sakho before McAgger attacks me. :X

Re: SAS
Coutinho, Sturridge and Suarez this season have only 122 minutes together on the pitch. Sturridge was with a knock and Coutinho was still rusty. And we're still 4th. Imagine if they get to play the next 6 months together.

Re: SAS
Suarez now has 22 goals and 5 assists in 15 PL games.
Sturridge now has 10 goals and 4 assists in 11 PL games.
They both have to face each other in the World Cup!!!

Re: SAS
yes Sterling, his runs of the ball, cutest of controls to bring the ball down, get the ball forward, picking the right pass most of the times, playing 1-2s with our forwards, involved in three of our goals today.
If he improves his finishing he will be a very classy player to have with such a pace

Re: SAS
well the best thing about SAS is 'acknowledging the contribution towards each others goals and the moment when Suarez apologized for not passing to Studge and Studge just smiles to react to it'

Re: SAS
The thing most amazed (touched, really) me most is the drive Sturridge showed for his goal. Just like Suarez (his first goal), he kept snapping as long as there was a sniff of goal and he scored.

Re: SAS
The last SAS to win the league was Sutton and Shreaer at Blackburn.

Arsenal: 43/17 (Giroud: 9, Ramsey: 40%
City: 63/25 (Aguero: 14, Toure: 11) 40%
Chelsea: 40/15 (Hazard: 9, Oscar: 6) 38%
Liverpool: 53/33 (Suarez: 22, Sturridge: 11) 62%
Spurs: 29/12 (Adebayor: 7, Soldado: 5) 41%
Everton: 34/14 (Lukaku: 9, Coleman: 5) 41%
United: 35/17 (Rooney: 9, Welbeck: 49%
I'm not particularly happy with this statistics.

Re: SAS
Suarez 23
Sturridge 13
36 goals in 23 games between these too.
(They've only played like 10 games together, Suarez obviously missed out on 6 games at the start, and Sturridge was out with an injury too.)

These two can win us the league in the next few years if we surround them with the right pieces. Ain't even joking.

Re: SAS
I'm just hoping they both stay fit until the end of the season and continue to keep scoring at this rate.
They're our only chance of making top 4 as of right now with our injuries, and lack of cover for key personell.

Even if we lose Suarez, Sturridge is starting to look like he is the best (realistically available) replacement for him.

Re: SAS
They could become the first ever teammates to be the top 2 scorers in the league in the same season in PL.
Even across Europe this is very rare (top 7 leagues). Since 1980 only Hulk/Falcao for Porto in 2010-11, Grafite/Dzeko for Wolfsburg in 2008-09, DelPiero/Trezeguet for Juve in 2007-08, Kuyt/Kalou for Feyenoord in 2004-05, Bobic/Elber for Stuttgart in 1995-1996, Maradona/Careca for Napoli in 1987-88, and Hugo Sanchez/Valdano for Madrid in 1985-86 have done it.
PS. Also Ibra and Cavani will probably do it as well.
