LaLiga matchday 1| Real Madrid vs Real Betis| 18th of August 2013

Well here comes the much anticipated start of our laliga campaign, after losing out to Barcelona before the previous season even got going.

While the media will be obsessed with the Bale transfer saga the team will try and win its first game this season having previously only won one under Mourinho. Hope we have better luck this time

Nobody injured during internationals thankfully with Isco being an unused sub and Modric subbed in the 60th minute. Xabi is training with the rest of the players and Illaramendi has started doing jogging and light ball work. Varane on the other hand seems to have suffered a set back in his recovery unfortunately

Real Betis have lost a host of players this transfer window including the midfield pair of Canas and Benat. However they have strengthened.....well slightly, and have bought Verdu, Xavi Torres and Didac Vila amongst others. They haven't looked anything to be worried about in preseason winning only three of their eight games all against teams playing lower than premier league (they have only played english teams for some reason) but if preseason is anything to make conclusions about we would have won LaLiga last season and Barca would have struggled to be in the top two

I am not sure on Betis because I only watched alittle of their game vs Everton but I will name that line up:

Oh right, Benat went to Athletic. Forgot about that. That is a very attacking Real Madrid side if ever I've seen one...

not sure Casemiro would start honestly but I hope he does. Its either going to be him or Khedira both will be our CDM.

The rest is most probably what we will start. Carlo has been playing this line up together nearly all preseason to try and create great chemistry between then

Isco has been helping out Marcelo defensively however Ozil has been leaving Carvajal on his own. He has got to help him. Betis have very fast wide players one of them our very own Juanfran

Love that guy. Lives and dies by his way. I wish Flo had the balls to put someone like him at the helm.

Once again, I clean forgot Betis lost Canas as well. That was their core midfield right there in Benat and Canas. Wow, this should be a good win for Real Madrid. Juanfran & Molina would cause some headaches though.

khedira will start.

khedira and modric has been great together this preseason. no need to change.

casemiro is still a little to weak defensively, physically. Inexperience showed. He will get game time though.

Yeh can't really see Casemiro starting right away.

No Coentrao  

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed defender Fabio Coentrao has asked for a transfer.

Portugal left-back Coentrao was left out of Ancelotti's squad for their La Liga opener against Real Betis on Sunday, with the Italian boss revealing 'he has asked to leave'.

Coentrao is such a b*tch. Asking to leave just as the season starts just so Benfica can bid 3 million on him. Whatever if he doesn't have what it takes to play here he can leave, I still haven't really forgot how "the defensive goat" Contrao let that last minute goal at the Allianz happen.

MT's line up is what I expect as well, can't wait for the new season

Pepe Mel is a great guy I wish him nothing but success (except against us of course)

tbh Coentrao made his wishes clear even before Higuain. So this isn't something new

but what a wimp he is. I didn't like this guy to start with but boy does he moan alot. I can't believe we dropped €30 mill for this crybaby

I hope Perez is as robust as he was with the Higuain case of transfer fee.

anyways, we can only have 7 subs on the bench so two will be cut. One is Mejias and the other I hope is Kaka. I swear if Jese or Morata are cut instead of Kaka

so Jese is not on the bench and has to make way for Kaka. lol this is getting ridiculous

We lack Iker. His ability, presence, leadership. Benzema was caught in  offside  for at  least 5 times in  the first  20 minute,  people  still say we don't  need Bale. LE:that misses:facepalm:

The pressing needs to be better and the backline needs to be higher. The team is sitting back too much and letting Betis attack.

Higher line, better pressing and maybe Casemiro instead of Khedira at DM.

Khidera pushes way too high, it leaves the midfield open, it's not Modric job to break up play. We were much more balanced when Casimiro was introduced.

Di Maria was average

Is Benzema somehow related to Inzaghi? Was caught 6 times in offside position( +2 more times together with Ronaldo).

I'm not saying Casimiro is better than Khedira, just that we preformed better when he was on, since the midfield wasn't left completely empty.
