You're kidding right?
Khedira is a paper weight. Seeing him in the midfield alongside alonso is painful. Sure he's a big guy. But he never contributes either offensively or defensively. He doesn't have the capacity to do anything with the ball at his feet.

Granero is a alot smarter on the ball than Sami. That's a given despite Granero always tending to shoot the ball.

I like Khedira, some games are suited to him but last night's wasnt
he is a top player

I still have faith.
I'm 100% he's going to play against Bayern.

So we'll see exactly how he can hold up the midfield along with Alonso.
Maybe even Lass.
Knowing Mou we'll probably play a trivote unless he thinks it's best we go toe to toe with Bayern.

khediras speed and lack of technical ability disallows him from keeping up to madrid standard, we need a player who has the stamina, strength, and positional awareness of khedira but someone who is better with the ball at his feet and can pick passes..

Like Festim said. If Lass could only control himself and not get booked so early on he'd be perfect. Despite Lass also not really adding much offensively but defensively he can be very solid.

Lass is terrible in midfield for us, absolutely horrible.

Granero couldn't defend and recover the ball if his life depended on it. How many fouls has he given away around the box? He is worse than Lass in that regard ffs.

Sahin can't do the job Khedira does, he is wasted there.

Out of all our midfielders atm I would have Khedira performing the role he does and no one else.

He is one of our best set piece defenders full stop. If he wasn't doing what he was supposed to be doing then he wouldn't be playing end of.

Anyway, have a look at Ballack for Chelsea who performed a similar role.

Khedira is playing under Mou's design, just like Marcelo who tends to play WB/ML instead of LB.

But you can see Lass effect when he plays. He really bosses the midfield and doesn't let anyone get past him unlike Khedira. But only if he'd be much cooler and try to not get a yellow card early and keep it simple when he has the ball he'd be just great

How many times has Khedira been subbed in the first half for sucking badly in midfield? Lass has been on multiple occasions this season.

Everyone and there dog on this forum and others have said they don't want Lass in midfield for us cus he sucks horribly.

Crimson as everybody points out, people don't want him because he gets himself booked very early and then just stinks because he never goes into battles

Khedira apart from his 3cm passes, doesn't really offer anything, had he really been good at set pieces we wouldn't have conceded so many headers from set pieces when he came back, which we did, Khedira was deployed in the box against Pathetico and yet we failed to clear crosses

Khedira's qualities are a myth, when he plays we get dominated in the middle, players casually just stroll past our midfield as if they are on a walk in the park

But id rather Lass as RB, and Granero as CM, at least he can do one of the two(defend or attack) which is an upgrade in itself from Khedira the pregnant lady

lol lass is a headless chick, he cant improve that. its a great weakness.

lol i have to agree with crimson to a point, right now we have no one that can defend, perhaps sahin can improvement, but mou isnt playing him, i still beleave ramos can be best dm in the world, but oh well.

i guess we need to find this next best DM/CM, someone who does alonso/lass/khedira defensive work, alonso/sahin passing, great technique and ball control under pressure like xavi/sahin, good option in attack like lampard type etc.

Ramos can do all that, other then him there is this arturo Vidal (juventus), he is extreamely extremmely super DM/CM, he is very complete package.

Anyway I'd rather play Lass than Khedira

Sadly and scarily atm, I think Javi of Benfica would be a really good choice
