Marcelo has been overweight after the holiday break apparently.

Balague says so. Not to mention he has looked slower/fat lately.

Stupid and irresponsable. Needs to get abit bench time.

Finally we see Mourinho try Coentrao instead of Marcelo and hes done pretty well. I used to think he has a reputation for an attacking LB, considering his price tag as well.

Do u guys think he should start over Marcelo now? Or if he should try playing in the midfield even to accomodate both?

We have to play marcelo, we need to go into attacking mode against barca, we have no choice even though he defensive mistakes might cost us.

i have been saying to play him as a winger or am for a while. but not tomorow, he has no chemistry and playtime there with anyone.

and he is very fat, need to get back in shape lol.

yes his orignal built is stocky (i am not sure of this word) but he is fat, his agility and turning ability is a bit slower now. i also think mou has bulked him up so he can be a bit stronger defensively.

If you watch the videos of marcelo in junde ramos time, you can see his body, he has the perfect balance there, he need to get in to that size back.

Love Marcelo so much, he is the best left back, alongside Enrique, in the world. When it comes down to a debate, then those two simply have to be included based on the form they have shown over the past couple of seasons. Marcelo has gone from being a liability, to a world class left back. Only poor game he's had this season was against Mallorca, credit to the Brazilian.
