I heard it was somewhere between 5-10 million. (Sorry, I don't remember the source.) So, this seems to be the likely genesis of the funds.

Whenever I say him starting for Everton he had a major impact.

He is only good as an impact player with all of his pace, but otherwise, he's not good enough to start.

So if he doesn't start for Madrid, he cannot start for Everton. Guess Everton better not waste their money on the likes of Higuain/Benzema (depending on the day), Kaka, Granero, etc.
