Note that this poll is about strikers, not wingers and not centre attacking mids.

I was originally going to exclude SS however the lines between SS and striker are too blurred to differentiate. There is a good argument to say Ibra and Rooney especially are strikers and not a SS, for example.

Ba or Higuain would have been my 11th option if I could put one in.

if youre considering this based on current season form higuain or ba have been far superior to villa

if youre not considering current season form higuain should still be there

tough choice between rvp and gomez, soldado, huntelaar are third and fourth based on their goal scoring ratios.. voted for rvp since he is practically carrying the gunners.

Its really hard to choose between such class forwards.Atm there's little difference between most of them in this list so i think i would bump this thread and give my vote come the end of the season.

For me it's Godmez. He even overcame the curse of Austria this year and scored twice in deep enemy territory Very Happy .

Why do all people always throw in stuff like "complete players" there? A striker's job is to score goals. If he does it, it is irrelevant whether he is "complete" or not. ^^

The "complete" argument I could understand if they constantly create wondergoals out of nothing, while at the same time being clinical enough to the the simple stuff well, as in van Persie.

But if we go by pure definition Gomez would definitely take it, although we have to admit the service he gets is one only maybe Benzema recieves.

I disagree Rwo. If you can score goals and do a lot more, then you should get credit for that.; it's not something against you. For example, RVP is an excellent set-piece taker (especially corners). Does that mean that he is less good as a striker? On the contrary, he has more of an advantage.

If a striker can dribble, he's more useful than a striker who can't. If a striker tracks back and covers a lot of ground when defending, then I'd take him over a striker who scores a bit more but doesn't really do much defending. It's not just about scoring goals, especially when each of these players are scoring a lot. It's the other things that start to matter more.

Putting that into perspective, it's definitely RVP for me, followed by Gomez and then Benzema

The best SS is Van Persie and the best CF is Gomez.

Biased mode: van Persie

Unbiased mode: I can't decide between Gomez, Higuain, Ibrahimovic and van Persie.
