Black Friday Have Deceived Me

So, today is black Friday and I expected to have a number of great deals on games, since in my father's time in the U.S., EVERYTHING went into sale at black Friday.

However, the only deal that was available was the regular Gamestop buy two used get one free deal.
And I went there at 6 freaking A.M.

Nevertheless, I was going to buy a shitload of games regardless. I just changed my tactic towards used games.
To my surprise, I saw pre-owned versions of Skyrim, Arkham City, and Dark Souls. And they were the last pre-owned copies.

I got a couple of cheap games that were new (Metroid for $10), and more used games. Also bought the new Zelda.

Since the deal was buy 2 and get 1 free, I made sure I get the most out of it.
Also, bought Portal 2. Mario Galaxy 2, and Dues Ex.

I though about splurging and trading in my DS for a cool looking Zelda 3DS bundle, but I am sure Nintendo will release another version of the 3DS, possibly with an analog stick.

The funny thing is that as I was checking out, this guy came in and headed towards where I got my Pre-Owned games, and asked the cashier where Skyrim-Dark Souls-Arkham City were. And the cashier pointed at me, and I did the best troll face I could do.

And, since I spent so much, the guys at Gamestop gave me a Zelda bundle they were holding out to some guy who wanted it two days ago.

All in all, it took a $330 hit on my wallet.

I guess I will have to starve for the upcoming month. Oh well, I was going to starve playing Skyrim anyway.

Nicely done, Spence. $330 is quite the haul.

My annual gamer splurge will largely surround my finally getting a PS3 and whatever two games I decide to get for it.

I went into a "buy all the games" mode and did not realize I was shooting myself in the foot between that, and my ticket to Iraq/Saudi, and the extra luggage I will be carrying.

Regardless, it looks like another dip into the stock market to try and recover the amount of spending I did this month (I usually don't spend much all year and just go crazy one month).

i wait for boxing day....
in Canada though the deals are pretty poor all around

its all good for the economy so....

now i finally have something fun to do at my uni

Infamous....monotonous and a chore to play.
FIFA......A Sylish game with no heart beat, after week the game derails to lifelessness
pokemon....more borefests for little babies and you have the cheek to slag off FF 7 cheeky.
