Ozil vs Messi

Right who is the better passer Ozil or Messi? Long pass, through balls, short pass, crossess.

Messi of course.

He lacks experience, it's written in plain english.

He lacks the experience level Messi has with his passing. Messi has been playing top level football since he is 19, and his skills developed incredibly fast that way. Not to say that Bremen was crap, but they were no barcelona.

There is also a "passing" culture at barcelona, and being in contact with naturally gifted passers like Xavi, Iniesta or Guardiola is a huge plus. He used to play with the likes of Ronnie and Deco as well back in the days. Messi has the whole passing arsenal covered to a greater extent. He doesnt play a lot of long balls due to his position, but short range, he is class. he plays them through, lofted, bent, and his final balls are nasty. He plays difficult passes in every competition, at different levels, and it matters. Pressure doesnt affect his skill.

Ozil is better on long range, and he will continuously improve his passing. I think playing for top clubs help young talented players grow faster, and he is no exception. He can already play some amazing passing and he will only get better.

Actuall they do play pretty similar positions. Messi drops deep and basically plays an AMC just like ozil and does better. neiter of themn dictate the game. Messi is better than ozil at pretty much everything tbh.

IMO Messi's disadvantage is that he plays in a somewhat worse NT even though he is really great at club level, while Özil can shine in both club and NT.

true, they play similar positions, but their roles are different.

Messi is better.He has taken his passing to another level this season.
Ozil is an excellent passer himself but Messi is simply better.
