What's your view on this?

Me, I would have done the same thing as he did, but I wouldn't have used a weapon though. A lot of women think they can get with these type of things just because "they're women and men are not allowed to hit them". In this case, it was self defence and the worker had every right to defend himself, given the fact one of the females slapped him and then jumped over the counter to attack him some more.

The latest news is that the man has been arrested. Messed up imo.

Legally he had the right to defend himself with equal force, that means that using a weapon violate his self defense rights. I didn't quite gather what the argument was about but I can see how it escalated quickly.

Apparently it was over him checking their 50 dollar note. They didn't like it and felt insulted that he was trying to imply that they had counterfeit cash.

But I read from one comment in a blog that in the US, Mcd's workers are required to check any cash note that is above $20.

The moment I see someone going over the counter, I'd also go into castle-siege mode.

I don't know if those women are armed, I don't know what they're gonna do, I don't know who the frack they are. Being a woman does not mean they can't pull a gun on you.

Seems OK to me. Then again I know Europeans would think otherwise, but you guys don't have such huge crime problems, have more guns than brains or crazy women who jump at you.

I agree with what he did, when someone jumps over the counter all bets are off, but I also see why he got arrested. It was self-defense up until the point where they were down and co-workers were coming over to help, after that it was assault imo(even if they deserved it).

When a woman jumps across a counter to claw your eyes out, you have every right to mid-jump power slap her. I dunno about crowbars. I treat my Dead Island zombie victims with less force than that.

He had the right to defend himself when the women jumped over the counter and approached him with intent, but the force he was used was clearly excessive.

After the first couple of swings which took her down, he should have stopped, and he would have been good legally. (At least according to Canadian laws I think)

Yeah, I personally find it brutal. It's not a question of whether or not he can defend himself, it's a question of how much force he can use. And he clearly went overboard. There was no reason to keep hitting when he was down, for example, or not to give them a warning before rather than just hitting straight out. Or to use a motherfcking crobar. He clearly went overboard.
